My devotion to this work comes from a personal belief that asking for help is an act of courage that is too often treated as a weakness. I understand how difficult it can be to reach out, especially around mental health issues. I make it a priority to create a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere, where you can approach healing with curiosity and compassion rather than criticism. When you feel supported and well resourced, it allows your fullest self to emerge, and you deserve to be your most fully expressed YOU.

Your goals and growth will be unique to you, but I like to describe therapy as a process of releasing psychic tension and opening up space. Think massage for the psyche. Taking time each week to check in with your inner experience can help increase gentle awareness and guide you to the tools you have in order to manage overwhelm and create ease in your life. This is true for both individuals and couples.

While I work with a wide range of issues, I specialize in helping clients create healthy boundaries, move through grief, and quiet the inner critic

I offer individual psychotherapy in downtown San Francisco for adults and teens. I also provide relationship counseling for couples as well as non-romantic partnerships. I do have a limited number of sliding scale spaces, so inquiries are welcome. Grounded in somatic and transpersonal perspectives, my approach is psychodynamic and mindfulness based. I draw on my background as a bodyworker and my training in the arts to inform and inspire my work. Your are the only person that can be you, so I work collaboratively, customizing our sessions to help meet your personal therapeutic needs.

Remember your commitment to yourself! Personal growth can be immensely rewarding, but is not always easy. When we explore deeply rooted patterns, it can feel disruptive. Some weeks will feel hard, and it may be difficult to show up for yourself. This is a normal reaction to growth, and valuable part of the journey we can traverse together.
